He will be going in for his two month check up soon and I'm excited to see how much this little chunk weighs in at! Also, he is very funny! He maks these cute funny faces but I'm rarely lucky enough to catch them on camera!! Houston has started to smile a lot, he is a very happy boy!! He also rolled over the other night!! Happy Halloween

We didn't do much on Halloween except wait around for trick or treaters that never showed up!! But we had fun dressing up our little man in both of his Halloween outfits! You cant really see it in the picture but my brother-in-law, Dave, got Houston that adorable onsie that says "I love my mummy"! Also Tj's sister, Tabatha, got him the matching hat and booties set that says "Baby's first Halloween"!! Too cute!! That was his day outfit! For his costume, Tj's Grandma sent us the sweet little lion costume!! Now we just have to start thinking of ideas for next year!!

Pumpkin Patch!

A couple days before Halloween we decided to take Houston to the pumpkin patch! Except for one quick family picture, Houston had to stay in the car because the wind was blowing and it was just too cold for him to be out, luckily Grandma Renee was with us to sit with him! Tj and I went out and picked up enough pumpkins for the whole family! Tj is very creative and had a blast carving 4 out of 5 of the pumpkins. His favorite being the Oklahoma State University pumpkin, which I thought was ok! But my favorite was the pumpkin that I carved, you can probably tell which one is mine by looking at the picture but here is a hint- Go Vikings!!

Scrub-a-dub-dub!!!!

So its been quite an adventure giving Houston his first couple baths, but it's getting better!! At first he thought it was just the end of the world but now he is fine until we take him away from the warm water. The poor little man hates to be cold!

Hello World!!

Houston loves his Daddy!!

Big Boy!!

I love you!!

Poor little bugger hooked to his IV :(

Right after he was born

I don't know what's wrong with this picture but TJ's face is hilarious!

So after a long 41 weeks of pregnancy and an excruciating 28 hour labor and delivery our little Houston Lee has arrived!! It was definitely an experience! I will start from the beginning. I was due on October 12Th, and on October 14Th (my birthday) I was in the hospital in the wee early morning hours with contractions. However, the doctors sent me home. Then the 15Th came and went, then the 16Th and the 17Th and all the way until the 21st! My dad, my sister Theresa, and little Ava had arrived hoping to see baby Houston on the 20Th but he wasn't ready to see them yet! Luckily we got to spend the day together and have a little fun before Houston began his journey to the world. So at around 5am on the 21st I started having contractions, so TJ and I headed to the hospital around 7am. On the way there we ended up getting stuck in traffic! Figures, just my luck!! We finally got to the hospital and got admitted. The next 28 hours are a blur. Luckily Theresa and TJ were SO helpful! I really could not have done it without either one of them. Unfortunately, for some reason the pain medication didn't work and the epidural didn't work right and wore off before everything was over. It was horrible but TJ and Theresa got some funny stories out of the whole thing! Definitely something I will never forget. But as the whole thing came to an end baby Houston wasn't doing so well, his cord was wrapped around his neck and he had apparently swallowed some fluid on his way out. The doctor did an awesome job getting him out ok but from then it was the scariest 10 minutes of our lives! Houston was pretty much lifeless but eventually started to whimper and cry and it was an amazing sound! He was rushed to the NICU to start some tests, he was in there for about 2 days and we finally got to bring him home at about 11:00 pm on the 24Th!! But that's our story! Now Houston is doing great and eating like a pig!! He is the best addition to our little family! Oh, Houston was born on October 22Nd at 11:06 am, he was 7 lbs 13 ounces and 20 inches long! Mommy's big boy! TJ has been the best Daddy since we have been home. He helps with everything, but then again I never expected anything less! Theresa, Ava and Grandpa Pete unfortunatly had to leave to get on their plane an hour before Houston got discharged from the hospital. But while they were here they helped us out so much! We are so grateful that they could be here for us! And we can't wait to spend more time with them when we get a chance to visit home. Which hopefully won't be more then a couple months away! Thanks again dad and big sis!! Miss you!! But keep watch on the blog I will make sure to post pictures of our growing boy!!

Cadence Visit's!!!

Cadence wanted to see the tank's where her dad works!
Feeding the birds! She was much braver then me. They kept freaking me out when they would land on my stick of food!!

Bumpy Ride!!

What a cutie!!

Adorable!
Tj's daughter Cadence got to come stay with us a couple weekends ago. ( I know I'm bad at keeping up with this ) We had such a blast with her! We only had about two days with her which I don't think was long enough considering TJ has not gotten to see her since Christmas, so we had to make the best of it. Cadence said she wanted to go to the zoo, so off the the zoo we went!! We went to the Pointe Defiance Zoo and Aquarium. It is really pretty and full of activities! As you see above Cadence got to ride a camel, (I was really jealous) feed some goats and sheep, feed some birds, pet starfish, play dress-up, and see her favorite animal of the day, the elephant. We also stopped on Ft. Lewis, Cadence wanted to see where her daddy worked. We had such a fun weekend. Hopefully she made some good memories with her dad! I hope Cadence gets to come again soon or that we get some time to go and see her!!

4th of July!!

Beaner made me this beautiful sign!!!

Ava already loves her new cousin!

And she loves fireworks... she is too cute!!

I even got to spend time with Grandpa and Shirley!!

Ok, I have pictures with the other kids too, but she's the new one and this was the first time I ever got to meet her!! She loves me!!!

We got lucky this 4th of July and got to have 4 days off! Knowing that this would be the last opportunity to take any kind of leave at all before little Houston gets here and before work gets crazy, I decided to take a short but much needed vacay home!! I surprised the whole family!! No one knew I was coming, well except Dave (and no, none of it was his doing or his idea despite what he may think!) but I needed an in somehow. First I surprised Theresa, then she and I somehow got Leslie up to Rochester. Followed by Kathy, she was at work so we had to tell her over the phone. Then we finally got Dad up to Theresa's. Although all of them were really surprised, I think he was the most. I called him from the bedroom, just having a normal conversation telling him how jealous I was that he got to spend so much time with the kids! Then I walked out and his face was priceless! He was teary eyed and all. But then again, I'm so lovable who wouldn't miss me so much they would cry!?! lol All in all it was a great weekend I had a blast, but it was definitely too short! I want to apologize to everyone I didn't get to spend time with! I do miss all of you but I only had a small amount of time!

Some Firsts!!

All baby, Not very impressed with these pictures!

leg/ankle

spine

feet and his tiny toes!

his face.. kinda creepy!!!

his little hand, you can see his fingers are like he is shooting!

For my first blog, I thought I would share some of the babies first pictures! As you all know I'm expecting!! I am 20 weeks along.. half way! WOW! It's a little weird for me. But TJ and I are so excited!! On Friday we had our 20 week ultrasound to make sure everything is going ok and to find out the baby's sex. The radiologist said that everything looked good, thank goodness. He also confirmed that we were indeed having a baby boy! We have been back and fourth on a couple names but have finally agreed on Houston James Hill. We still have a little disagreement on the spelling, TJ would like to spell it Huston. I, on the other hand, do not like that one bit! Therefore, Houston it is! The hospital gave me a disk with a few of the ultrasound pictures, but I am not happy with them at all! You can probably see why!
